Giveaway: Jacek Chocolate Couture Advent Calendar 2014

Christmas is just around the corner and I’m a big fan of pre-Christmas gifts. You know what I’m talking about. It’s the kind of gift that you give to yourself while you’re actually out shopping for others. Self-gifting. It does miracles, really. My first self-gift this year? A Jacek Advent Calendar.

 

Jacek Chocolate Couture, based in Sherwood Park, offers handmade chocolates that merge art and chocolate all in one delicious bite. Self-proclaimed cocoanista, Jacqueline Jacek, fuses her love for fashion and food to create boutique-style collections that are not only gorgeous to look at, but decadent and drool worthy. Hand-crafted chocolates are made from fine French chocolate and the freshest ingredients to create classic and contemporary flavours. Most recently, Jacek Chocolate Couture opened up a boutique on 104 St. Boy, is it hard to walk by the shop without taking a side trip. I love their chocolates! Of all their classic chocolate bars, my favourite is “The Jackie”, a 36% caramelized milk chocolate bar with hits of Fleur de Sel throughout. So addicting.

Anyways, back to self-gifting. Jacek most recently offered an Advent Calendar, for sale on November 1st. Only 150 packages were made, limited edition chocolates, with no chance of pre-orders or reservations. I knew right away that I would have to fight with the masses for a box that offered a different Jacek chocolate for the first twenty-five days of December. And I did. 9AM, November 1st, I lined up with at least ten others to grab my share at the 104 St location. Boxes, which were also sold online and at their Sherwood Park location, are now all sold out.

As much as I enjoy self-gifting, I still kept the holiday spirit in mind for my readers! As a thank you for supporting the blog, reading my reviews, and sharing good eats, I bought an extra box (value of $50) to giveaway to you guys! This year has been fantastic and full of amazing food and I’ve met so many people along the way. It’s truly become a passion of mine to not only eat my way through life, but to learn everything I can about food and to share it with other food lovers!

Must live in Edmonton or Greater Edmonton Area and be able to meet me at on Saturday, November 29, 2014 or Sunday, November 30, 2014 for delivery. (I could deliver to an address but you wouldn’t want these chocolates to be frozen!) Entrants must have a valid email address and winner will be contacted on Friday morning.
