Every year, I jot down the dates for the Edmonton’s annual Rocky Mountain Wine and Food Festival and somehow every year something always comes up. Work. Another event. Whatever. I’m happy to say though that this year is the year! With a new year’s resolution (ha!) to try more wines which I finally started last month, I am very excited to be attending this year’s event, more so for the wine than for the food. I’m excited! Coincidentally, Rocky Mountain Wine and Food Festival has also given me a pair of tickets to giveaway on the blog! Read on for more details or head straight to the end of the post to enter.

Rocky Mountain Wine and Food Festival 2015

The Rocky Mountain Wine and Food Festival is the largest wine and food event in Alberta, offering a sampling of a variety of wine, scotch, import beer, and premium spirits to go alongside gourmet food samples from Edmonton’s local restaurants and hotels. This year, the Grand Tasting Hall at Shaw Conference Centre will be hosted on Friday, November 6 from 5pm to 10pm, and Saturday, November 7 from noon to 4pm or 6pm-10pm. Tickets can be bought online or at the door, which brings you into the event where you can buy sampling coupons for $0.50. Samples range from 1 to 20 or more coupons, depending on the item and are set by the exhibitors.

I’m excited to sample some fantastic wines since buying by the bottle at home can only go so far! I’m a big fan of variety! I’m all set with the free Festival mobile app as well and ready to take some notes. You can even “favourite” a wine or food item on the app to remember all your favourites of the night and an exhibition map will keep you on track to not miss any booths! The Giveaway

Enter for a chance to win two (2) entrance tickets to Rocky Mountain Wine and Food Festival 2015 in Edmonton for the Saturday, November 7th Afternoon Session (noon – 4pm). Tickets get you through the doors and into the Grand Tasting Hall, where you will need to buy sampling coupons (not included in giveaway) in exchange for food and beverage items. Contest runs from Monday, October 19, 2015 until midnight (MST) Wednesday, October 28, 2015. Entrants must have a valid email address as he/she will be contacted via email on the morning of Thursday, October 29, 2015. The winner will have until the end of Thursday, October 29, 2015 (MST) to respond or another entrant will be randomly selected.
