One of my favourite Edmonton vendors has been hard at work all winter long and continues to surprise me with their creative flavours. Honest Dumplings continues to make their gourmet dumplings with healthy and natural ingredients and their latest variety pack, The Year of the Rooster Pack is here ring in the new lunar year! Read on and learn how you could win a pack of dumplings from Honest Dumplings!

If Honest Dumplings is new to your ears, or you have yet to try some of the husband and wife team’s delicious dumplings, then this is the perfect time for me to introduce. The Lunar New Year (or Chinese New Year) is this Saturday and there’s no better way to celebrate than with family, friends, and food! Over the holiday season, the duo came up with creative, yet familiar, flavours for their winter pack like Cranberry Jalapeño Turkey, Bacon & Brussel Sprouts, and Ham & Scalloped Potatoes. The pack is still available at online suppliers like SPUD Edmonton and The Organic Box, but it’s the new Year of the Rooster Pack that I have my eyes on!

To welcome the new year, Honest Dumplings’ new variety pack offers four flavours: Lobster Chow Mein (with lobster sourced from local vendor Ocean Odyssey), vegan-friendly Mapo Tofu, Pineapple Sweet & Sour Pork, and Cumin Dill Lamb. They’re already available at their booth at Old Strathcona Farmer’s Market and Ben’s Meat & Deli. Much like their other variety packs, a pack of 16 handmade dumplings go for $19.99 and are such a treat to eat!
